Wild Irish Rose
International Bestselling Author Ava Miles kicks off another blockbuster feel-good family series with an irreverent hero, two well-intentioned matchmakers, and a heroine as beautiful as a wild Irish rose.
Billionaire Trevor Merriam doesn’t like being ordered around by his older brother, much less to a sleepy Irish village to complete a business deal for their family company.
Worse: the owner of the land he needs to buy doesn’t want him there. In fact, Becca O’Neill loathes him so much that she won’t even serve him the award-winning scones her famed Wild Irish Rose Bed and Breakfast is known for.
Even worse than that (and not getting scones is bad in Trevor’s book): Becca has an ornery cat, a mischievous Irish setter, and a lovesick alpaca that delights in chasing him around. Then there’s the woman herself. If she weren’t so indignant about his business offer, they might have a good romance budding.
Worst of all: his Uncle Arthur and Aunt Clara Hale show up from Dare Valley hoping to help him get hitched—not exactly the help he was looking for.
How in the world is he going to make this deal with his heart—and his dignity—staying intact?

A fantastic read. I couldn’t put it down and when I did, I needed more! Loved it.
If you or I received an offer from an international company for 30 million dollars to buy our property and land (if we had a property and many acres) we would be suspicious why it was valued so highly and investigate. Not Becca O’Neill, the owner of the Wild Irish Rose Inn and heroine of this book, she presumed the company intended to build a luxury hotel complex. No, Becca, the name of the company was a clear indication.
I couldn't understand why the offer was in dollars when the currency in Ireland is the Euro. It’s an ok plot, book one of a six part series about the Merrimam family who are either acting cut-throat towards each other or saccharine sweet. Trevor Merrimam arrives at the Inn to persuade Becca to sell. Trevor was weird, he continuously ate scones: often five or six at a time, before meals, after meals, he even put them in his pocket for later (usually five minutes later). Who eats dry scones. They should be eaten buttered with jam, or jam and cream.
The novel is set in Ireland but really could be anywhere as everything happened within the Inn.
Best character in the book - Buttercup the alpaca.
I've enjoyed other books by this author, am I being too critical, you decide.
Really enjoyed this book. Funny, romantic and written in such a way that you see everything as if you were there yourself. The characters were great and really sucked you in. Looking forward to reading more.
