Doris Paterson was born in England in 1924. She came to Canada as a war bride in 1947 and now lives and works in Mission, British Columbia, Canada. She has been a productive artist working in many media for most of her life. The mother of ten children, she is a published author and poet as well as a widely exibited artist, and her works are held in public and private collections throughout Canada and the United States.
