The Christmas season has never seemed so bleak as Santa scans his list searching for those few possibilities, the children who will be able to serve his purpose best, the purpose of sustaining his long life. But if his magic only works on the bad children, what would happen if he grabbed a good child by accident?

The bonus story, "Terrible Thrills" (title story for the full-length collection of the same name), continues the holiday theme with a story set at Halloween and centered around a Sound Effects CD that offers the listener an experience they'll never forget.
