The animations are particularly important when teaching today’s tech savvy kid, so the best experience will be in this ebook format rather than a paper copy.
The concepts here will probably take a little more than a weekend to introduce or master and thus this ebook should be used as a repeat reference.

Great introduction to sailing a dinghy
It’s been a privilege to work with Grant on this great new ibook. I particularly wanted to concentrate on those first few hours of understanding the wind direction, points of sail, the flapping sail, the no go zone and those accidental gybes.
Preparing in advance helps a lot, and so also is just sitting down afterwards and talking through all that went on in some of those frantic moments we all experienced on that first day.
Grant’s animations are particularly useful and fun – so good to have a book with illustrations that move! There’s also some interactive tests. When you interact with an ibook, you begin to see the future of reading and learning.
I hope this is a helpful training resource for sailing beginners. I hope you read the book, and don’t forget to read that sail.
