To everyone else, Hunter Caldwell is the most powerful man in New York. But to me? Hunter is just my best friend… my sinfully attractive best friend. When he needs my help, I instantly say yes.
It all starts as pretend…
Our first kiss is unexpected—but it still makes my skin sizzle, my knees go weak. The next one is in front of his tight-knit family. We have to be convincing. But it's so wicked hot, it almost fools me too.
On our first night together, he tells me that I have to keep us both in check, because he doesn't know how. Our second night is sexy as hell.
How am I supposed to keep the lines between real and pretend from blurring?
An engaging slow burn love
Starting a new series is always a little bit of a mystery. This new book from Layla tells the story of Josie and Hunter and their journey from best friends to besotted husband and wife. The reason made an engaging story. A slow burn love but when they got there it was the real thing. No Connors or Bennett’s in this story but I didn’t miss them.
Another winner from Layla and an interesting storyline. For romance lovers this is a must read.
I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book.
Not for me
Didn’t capture me. Could only read a page or two before getting bored, eventually gave up half way through
I really liked this
Very cute & sweet
