The university had established a campus hotline for students who were having thoughts of suicide or on behalf of friends who were having suicidal thoughts. It was an effective, well-managed machine. 

That is how Tamara and Angie met. 

Tamara had come out during her senior year of high school, and though she came from a small, conservative community, her popularity as an athlete overshadowed any cutting across the grain socially that she may have done. Angie was a little later, waiting until her freshman year at the university to experiment with her newfound love for women....
