Farmers make the earth move.

The last person Griffin Shipley expects to find stuck in a ditch on his Vermont country road is his ex-hookup. Five years ago they’d shared a couple of steamy nights together. But that was a lifetime ago.

At twenty-seven, Griff is now the accidental patriarch of his family farm. Even his enormous shoulders feel the strain of supporting his mother, three siblings and a dotty grandfather. He doesn’t have time for the sorority girl who’s shown up expecting to buy his hard cider at half price.

Vermont was never in Audrey Kidder’s travel plans. Neither was Griff Shipley. But she needs a second chance with the restaurant conglomerate employing her. Okay—a fifth chance. And no self-righteous cider-making lumbersexual farmer will stand in her way.

They’re adversaries. They want entirely different things from life. Too bad their sexual chemistry is as hot as Audrey’s top secret enchilada sauce, and then some.

"Smart, funny and super sexy, Bittersweet is full of the kind of writing that makes Sarina Bowen one of my favorite author crushes." Author Sarah Mayberry.

Absolutely yummy

“Bittersweet” kicks off a new series by Sarina Bowen. This book sees the pairing of two unlikely characters, Griff, who feels like he carries the world on his shoulders and Audrey, who is still trying to find her place in the world. Although they already know each other, they previously never got the chance to develop a relationship and their newest meeting doesn’t seem to be leading to one until these two find that the chemistry between them is electric and worth pursuing. Griff and Audrey want different things out of life, but maybe they can through their differences. A funny and heart-warming read that will make you see farmers in a whole different light.
