Jimi Harrows had always been a dream, even if flesh had proven she wasn’t just fantasy. Maybe that was why Lionel Black could never forget her. No one else came close. No one else would either. Making a living and what life he could of his own on the base, that truth was as tragic as tantalizing. So when Jimi wanders back to the base, he resolves to reconcile in more ways than one. Lucky for Lionel, he was bred for battle. The base and sanctions abroad have soldiered his strength and instinct.

Life on the base led Jimi to dig for answers. Since she last saw Lionel, she has dug even deeper to unearth favor in foresight. Jimi matures into a mystic. But she is harrowed by a void within, a part of her soul stolen into her past with Lionel Black, and vows fulfilment—by any means necessary.

Still, Lionel has yet to discern between insight and impasse when it comes to Jimi and her means, her magic. As she enlists the elements, they nevertheless find themselves at odds and shocked by the fire that engulfs them.
