Then Mrs. Hendrick's attorney informs the seven heirs that she has had a change of heart his client intends to disinherit six of them and leave everything to the one who proves him- or herself most worthy. The seven agree to make their best case to Mrs. Hendrick at her house, spend the night, and hear her announce her choice the next morning.
