Do You Understand What You Read‪?‬

“Do you understand what you are reading?” This was the question Phillip asked the Ethiopian eunuch, who was struggling to understand the Scriptures. We may feel, at times, like the Ethiopian.

 

However, his reply was so true of all of us. He said, How can I, unless some man teach me.” And we all, at times, need to be taught.

 

Earnest Streets does an excellent job in bringing before us some simple rules for Bible study. These were, first put forward at the time of the Reformation by Bishop Miles Coverdale who gave us the first complete Bible in English.
