Illuminating
Utterly illuminating when it comes to addiction and the pain pleasure balance at large.A must-read for health care providers.
Approachable Insight in Human Nature
The way that Dr. Anna Lembke describes everything in this book is astounding. The simplicity that governs every sentence hide the overly complex mechanisms of human nature. Also, every argument is backed up by a real patient story that helps to crystallize the suggestions to tackle our brain when it turns against us. Finally, there are plenty references to studies on the back of the book for the curious ones.
I undoubtedly suggest reading this book!
