Publisher Description
Buried under the ocean, deep within the Bermuda Triangle, lies a treasure worth killing for.
Having already lost two men in her life to the lure of the bounty beneath the sea, Samantha Carlyle wants nothing to do with treasure hunts. She wants to be left in peace to run her dive resort on Seafire Isle. But unexplained events continue to happen. Adam O’Connor–Samantha’s ex-lover–arrives unannounced on the tiny island.
Samantha becomes the target of an attempted kidnapping. And she’s beginning to realize that none of the resort’s guests are who they claim to be. Caught in an undertow of lies and murder, Samantha confronts the secrets that have, for centuries, been drawing men to their watery graves. And she realizes that the little she knows about the lost treasure is more than enough to get her killed.

PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
One can always count on Pozzessere (Slow Burn) to come through with an intricately plotted narrative that keeps the pages turning. Her writing style is clear and to the point-a delight to read. Here she takes readers into the Bermuda Triangle, to a private resort island owned by Samantha Carlyle. The island is a diver's paradise, surrounded by sunken ships. One ship, a Spanish galleon called the Beldona, was the particular obsession of Sam's father, who disappeared while searching for it. Because of the Beldona's sad past, Sam isn't interested in locating it, though she suspects she could if she tried. Apparently someone else thinks she has inherited her father's expertise, and tries to kidnap her only to be foiled by the unexpected appearance of Adam O'Conner, a former cop with whom Sam had a brief affair years earlier. The flame is reignited with enough steamy lovemaking to fog up your reading glasses. Pozzessere gives each of the resort's guests multiple motives, making them all likely suspects in ongoing kidnapping attempts. Trying to figure out what to pin on whom takes up most of the reader's time, but it's time well spent and rewarding. Combining the puzzle of the Bermuda Triangle and some man-made shenanigans makes for a mystery that stays a mystery all the way to the end.
