In the land of the Dark Wood dwells the Princess Myrtle, who disguised herself as a beggar to find true love. A magic tree grows in this fantastical kingdom, but only those whose heart is touched by selflessness can see it.  Golden archers come to life there, and everyone from the gentry to the rabble build invisible walls of love and shed prophetic tears.

The tiny town of Weir has remembered this fantastical place for generations. Anna McClure Sholl skillfully recorded these fantastical tales of folklore for the world to enjoy long after the last dame has told her last tale.
