Godly Government and Other Works

Godly Government is a compilation of the similarly titled chapter from my forthcoming traditional book project, The Final Hour: Understanding the Mandates and Positions of the Church. That book has only one small chapter on godly government, yet this particular project is a compilation of that work as well as several articles also written and published by me on behalf of Shulamite Women Community Magazine (SWCM) who I write for as a columnist.

The “Godly Government” chapter and magazine articles cover various subtopics such as prayer for leaders (and what not to “pray”), our actions and rights as Christian citizens, prophecy and the media, as well as other subjects.

This work also includes a Prayer Guide Index including six prayers for our 1) President, 2) nation, 3) Israel, 4) governing authorities, 5) Corporate America, and 6) schools. These prayers can be prayed from time to time on behalf of the said parties individually or corporately.

I use the term “guides” because I do not mean it to be a miniature prayer book, but rather a guide as to how to model your prayers; the subjects that should be covered. I encourage you to tailor them to fit your particular leaders and governmental authorities, nations, etc. I also encourage you to be Spirit-led in your prayers so as to hear what the Spirit of God is saying and guiding you to cover specifically at that particular time. Prayer guides and models are wonderful, yet if we use them as religious rhetoric instead of allowing the Holy Sprit of God to pray through us, then we negate the purpose because those rote prayers will reach no higher than the ceiling.

I pray this book will be a blessing to you and that it will inspire you to participate in and implement Godly Government in your own churches and communities. You are God’s reference point in the earth! Let’s make Him proud!
