In the Dark of the Night

A fictional story of the life of a police officer. She lives in a small city in Oklahoma. Follow Melody as she goes about normal police work. Someone trying to kill her and she is shot. She suffers only some broken ribs. Her vest stopped the bullet. She finds love in another police officer. Their life together is good and even though the loss of her unborn baby they stick together. Melody and her husband are overachievers. They work very well together. The question remains will the one hunting her down be successful or not.
