Mac Brodie has a small criminal defense firm in the Pioneer section of Seattle, Washington. He chooses his clients by need not wealth. He works with ex-cop Seth Ivarsson who values loyalty over morality and Brooke Fletcher, a tech savvy assistant and law student. The third and last member of Brodie's team is a thirty year-old legal assistant, Brooke Fletcher who's in her third year of law school.
