Magda the Mermaid

Denise Books are first reader books with values! Each message is simple, useful, positive and relevant to a young child's life.  Magda the Mermaid explores some of the choices that come with being a girl.  Among a multitude of choices, Magda could also be a pilot, a zookeeper, a Doctor and if she chooses , have her own little baby too...so many choices!

Denise Books draw upon and reinforce the 400 most commonly used words in English.  The books come with ten key whole word flashcards.

Denise Books come with phonics guides to aid the sounding out of unfamiliar words.  Where it is beneficial to do so, phonograms of greater than  one letter are coloured.  This is to remind the reader that this letter combination constitutes only one sound.
