Mobilizing Resources for Africa
Financing and Capacity-Building Strategies for Effective Delivery of the Sustainable Development Goals
Publisher Description
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will soon replace the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), which were supposed to be achieved between 2000 and 2015. Most African countries have, thus far, not reached all the MDG targets, partly due to insufficient mobilization of financial resources. This policy paper provides a comprehensive strategy to help African and international leaders efficiently mobilize financial resources for successful implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. Multi-level, cross-sectoral, high-impact strategies, products, and services, with special contributions from actors from the wider Atlantic Basin, can build capacity and catalyze successful domestic and external resource mobilization.
