Publisher Description

1. Since the legislature has already imposed the negligence standard of care on police officers when operating their vehicles in emergency situations, the question of whether strict liability should be imposed upon municipalities for accidents arising out of high-speed police chases should properly be addressed to that body. The trial court's finding to the contrary is reversed. 2. A review of the record shows that under present law there was ample evidence to support the trial court's finding that the accident was not caused by the negligence of the police officer.
