Publisher Description

“Not An Easy Child is an inspiring and delightfully entertaining book taking the reader into the surprisingly complex life and value system of a large working class New England family.  Rusty Marie Belanger Wilson offers an engaging historical and personal anthology of a questioning Catholic woman struggling to understand and cope with the personal conflicts arising from blind obedience and free thought in a religious and secular society.  Regardless of your gender, ethnicity or religion, the picture of her world offered in the pages of this autobiography which spans seven decades presents new alternatives and thoughtful insights to the often challenging, unpredictable journey of ones own life.”

-Peter Dixon, retired senior executive of IBM

. . . Inside my crumbling sixteen-year-old heart, I knew I would seize every opportunity to break every rule I ever knew, but I would do it out of his sight, away from his prying eyes and his bitter heart.  It was me against him.  I would become a skillful liar. . . .

Rusty Marie Belanger Wilson is a deeply spiritual woman and enjoys a rewarding life as an author, paralegal, motivational speaker, successful wife, mother and grandmother.  She began her writing career in the early 1980’s at the University of New Hampshire while studying English literature.  She self-published several voluminous newsletters and articles for her large family and friends while employed full time as a paralegal in the insurance defense industry.
