Though she'd never admit it, Micki Demetrius is planning her friend Kat's wedding like it's the do-over she didn't realize she wanted. The centerpiece of the dream ceremony: a one-of-a-kind wedding dress by celebrated designer Georgia Julienne. But when Georgia is found murdered among her gorgeous gowns, including one fatally wounded wedding dress, their plans are torn apart. 

Georgia was their friend, and they're eager to help solve the crime. But their new boss and Kat's fiancé, former sheriff Rick Formero, has other ideas. The understaffed Serendipity Springs sheriff's department drafts him and his P.I. agency to investigate, and as he and their mah jongg friends dive into the case, he shuts out Micki and Kat because of their ties to the victim.

The women are sure the case will unravel without them, and what their guys don't know won't hurt them—right? Their shadow investigation stitches circles around their friends' sleuthing, but the prize might be more peril than they've bargained for. Because in a world of silk and secrets, pulling the wrong thread can be deadly.
