Worlds have collided and parallel realities have become entwined. On one side of the Buffer Zone, Humans and normality. On the other, beasts from fantasy and myth, Orcs and Ogres, Elves and Demons.
In a seedy backstreet club in the Buffer Zone compulsive gambler Gavin has staked everything on one last hand, including Ashley his wife. If he loses then she must give herself to the winner. He doesn't know the cards are stacked by the club owner, a beast called Sarran. Gavin is destined to lose… but will Ashley honour his debt?
