ALL PROCEEDS FROM SALE OF "Peruvian Dream" GO TO THE CHARITY - "SO THEY CAN"

A chance encounter in the Peruvian Highlands between travelling Aussies Lani and Michael and a 14-year-old Quechuan Peruvian – the vivacious Karina Carbajal Moreira – was a turning point in the Australians’ holiday... and in their lives. Karina’s parents were struggling to feed their six children, so giving them a good education seemed a modest but unattainable goal. Karina’s mother Carmen, while working alone in the jungle, had a dream that one of her children would meet some foreigners who would help the family in some way. Carmen’s dream proved prophetic and Carmen and her husband Celestino looked on with pride as their older children enjoyed an opportunity they themselves had never had. The Australian couple provided support for the older children’s tertiary education, and a life-long bond between the two families was formed.
