John Pinnock was the opposite of his father. John practiced celibacy and was a reserved man. As a child he memorized the Bible and developed a system to avoid temptations of the mind, body, heart, soul and spirit. The Books of Job and Acts inspired him. John stood 6 feet 3 inches at 13 years with an athletic body. Each time John’s father would come home drunk and forcibly have sex with John’s mother, John would fetch an ax and a Bible in head to the woods. In the woods he would chop trees for an hour and then read Job and pray. After praying he would dance and sing for 15 minutes. This book tells the tale of Jack Pinnock, John's descendent, and Ella Lee.
