Reckoning

In the small village of Rakkas on each summer solstice, women go missing in the night.

For years the village has watched their own vanish. Always women. Always gone without a trace. They have prayed, offered, begged, but their shrines are empty and God is not listening—they are own their own.

From Lauds to Compline, three villagers approach the evening with their own hopes, dreams…and secrets. It will be up to fate if they're to make it through to the next dawn.

Addella witnesses a terrible crime, Father Matthias receives an unholy confession, and Sistine knows she must flee this inevitable fate. By sunrise nothing will be as it was.
