Restoring the American Dream

Description:   Every generation of Americans has to fight for our democracy-the American dream of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness but the unraveling of the fabric of our society is choking our nation and undermining our freedoms.  Action must be taken or more of our rights will slip through the cracks.  The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were crafted to ensure and protect these rights and we must be a generation that reads, believes, and defends these crucial documents. Michel Faulkner, professional athlete, educator, minister, husband and father, reveals the grave challenges facing our nation from within and what can be done to recapture the greatness of America that has been dormant in its citizens.  It’s time to remember the principles that made us great and help take our country back!

 

Author Bio:   For more than 30 years, Michel Faulkner has dedicated his life to serving God and his community.  He grew up in Washington, D.C. and was an all-star football player and All-American four- year starter at Virginia Tech graduating with a degree in communications.  His interest in sports continued after college as a player for the New York Jets in the NFL.  He holds a Master’s degree in education and career counseling.  Rev. Faulkner has served as a Pastor in the New York City area and been involved in numerous community leadership roles. In 2010, he ran a spirited but unsuccessful campaign for a seat in the US House of Representatives and in 2014 he founded Over the Hump Resources, LLC, which provides working capital and management assistance to small and medium businesses worldwide.  He recently formed a committee with the NYC Campaign Finance Board to run for Mayor of New York City in 2017.  In his spare time, Rev. Faulkner is a marathon runner.  Michel lost his wife of more than 30 years in 2014. Together they raised 3 children in NYC.  He recently married Dr. Sarai Padilla, a practicing psychologist of more than 28 years and has 1 daughter and 3 grandchildren.
