Santorini, island of wines

This book isn’t just another guide to wine written by an expert addressing a specialized readership. In this book, photographer Dimitris Talianis, equipped with his love of nature and of Santorini, takes a long journey through the grape-growing, wine-making process, combining light with the fleeting moment, cultivation with the season, and the movement of hands with that of the vine.  He took many pictures of the growth, twisting, pruning and harvest of the grapes; after which he photographed the winemaking process in caves and dugout wineries.

Then it was the turn of poet. Panos Theodoridis, with many years of service in winemaking, to shed his light on known and unknown aspects of past and present, through his introductory text and captions on the photographs.
