Dave Old, a disciplined and highly skilled ex-soldier, is undercover, investigating a ruthless crime lord named Vulcan. But getting close to his target comes with an appalling condition.

He must ally himself with the evil man, who imprisoned and tortured him in the past.

Secretly joining forces with Richard Black, the maverick heading the British contingent of the joint-agency investigation, they discover a sinister plot which threatens a violent and savage takeover of South Africa's government.
