Publisher Description

The plaintiff in error, Darnell Taylor (hereinafter defendant or Taylor), was charged together with another defendant with
stealing two gold watches of the value of $285, contrary to the theft statute, sec. 943.20 (1) (a), and parties to a crime
statute, sec. 939.05. On December 14, 1970, a jury found the defendant guilty as charged and found the value of property stolen
to be $285. He was sentenced to an indeterminate term of five years at Wisconsin State Prison at Waupun. On January 15, 1971,
the trial court denied post-conviction motions, including a motion for a new trial. The defendant Taylor has obtained writs of error to review the judgment and the order.
