Thrilling and oh, so captivating!
What a rollercoaster! This story got me sitting at the edge of my seat from page one! This is my first read by S.B. Alexander and I can assure you with absolute certainty, it won’t be my last! This book checks all the boxes for me. Enemies-to-lovers, slow burn, sizzling romance you won’t be able to get enough of.
Sam and Layla couldn’t be more different. He is a vampire SEAL with special vampire blood and she is a vampire hunter, coming from a notorious family of vampire hunters. Opposites attract cannot even cover it. Their chemistry is off the charts from the get-go, but there are so many things that separates them it’s not even funny. The way is long and hard, the story has so many twists and turns that will leave your head spinning in the best way possible. And it’s not only these two main characters that will keep you turning the pages as if there is no tomorrow – it’s every secondary character as well – Layla’s sisters, Ben, Abbey and all the rest –I want nothing more than to learn what happens to all of them as the story progresses. Did I mention that the story ends in a short of cliffy??? Well, it does and thank God the next book comes out in a few short months because I really REALLY want to know what happens next. The villain of the story will keep you wondering as well – and that’s also something I don’t usually find myself so interested in (usually I just want them burnt and gone – I do want this here as well, but I want to know more about him too) - which is honestly refreshing.
All in all, it’s a five-star, amazing paranormal read for me which will give you all the feels and you won’t be able to put down. So, grab it ASAP or I can honestly tell you that you will miss out!
