The Lure of the Trail

The Lure of the Trail is Gary's second collection of stories, articles and poems. The forty-one contributions are eclectic, with enquiry and exploration at their core.



Some of the fourteen stories are quirky; others take readers into territories they might not expect to encounter. In all instances the outcome is realistic.



The thirteen articles personify the quest, embodied by a fascination with remote places, memorable events, astonishing people and divergences.



The poems cover a wide range of topics, including a missing leg, the choices we make, Earth's bounties and the celebration of love. 



Gary has travelled widely, guided by the sentiment expressed by Rudyard Kipling in The Explorer:

"Something hidden. Go and find it. Go and look behind the Ranges -

"Something lost behind the Ranges. Lost and waiting for you. Go!"
