Publisher Description
Introduction The hands of healthcare personnel working in hospitals are often exposed to a variety of different and potentially hazardous substances. For example, lengthy exposure to water and weak cutaneous toxins such as washing agents can be irritating and contact with different allergens such as natural rubber latex can lead to atopy [1]. Damage to the protective skin barrier of the hand due to dermatitis can have serious consequences particularly for those healthcare workers who are in close contact with blood and other bodily fluids [2].
