The Story of Esther

The story of Esther takes place long, long ago in a faraway land.

How is that for an opener to a real-life rags-to-riches story? 

I will never understand when people say the Bible is boring.  The story of Esther has everything a good vs. evil plot needs.

Esther is the only book in the Bible that never has the word “God” in it.

Go ahead and check it out so you will know it’s true!

In the RevDeb version, I will tell you that many times in my walk with God, I have told my congregation(s), to just live their faith.

You will bring more people to God through living out your faith than you will ever do by beating them over the head and heart with the Bible.

Esther is a great example of that.  It is a story best read from the heart, and if you do that, God is on every page and in every word.
