Publisher Description
Dina and Jake, noticed fuzzy stuff floating in the air from the tops of aspen trees in springtime. Each piece of fuzz carried a tiny speck of a seed with it. What on earth do such tiny seeds “eat” in order to produce tall trees? They attempted to develop a hypothesis to explain that question, but it didn’t work out very well. That is when they sought the help of their science teacher, Dr. Mildew, along with his pet bear that he wrestled at county fairs over the summer. Even though Dr. Mildew’s experiments seemed pretty weird, Dina and Jake carried them out with great care. And the results were astounding! The nature of photosynthesis, respiration and combustion were revealed in the process.
Where does the substance of trees really come from anyway? Why straight from the bear’s mouth, of course.
