Trifecta Effect

It was time to let go and move on. Hailey knew that he would only be a memory and there was nothing she could do about it. When Bonnie invited her to do speed dating with her, she thought it was the most ridiculous thing people could do, in their search for love and companionship. She couldn’t see how she would meet the love of her life by sitting around and interviewing different men for only five minutes and then have to decide if he would potentially be the man, she would want to spend the rest of her life with. Besides, she already met the love of her life, but they couldn’t together and through the most painful experience she had ever endured, she lost him, forever.
Hailey is knocked off her feet, literally and figuratively by the strange man with the wild eyes and naughty smile, who’s concerned for their accidental run in, told much about him and his heart and opened her up to the possibility that there might be some good men after all in the world. The strange man leaves her feeling confused and excited all at the same time. She didn’t think she would see him again, but her encounter with him surely did light the fuse to setting her life back on fire.
Hailey had made a good life for herself. She got out of her life of crime and poverty and renewed herself. She had lost everything she deemed important to her and she knew it was time to create a new life. Having an eye for sniffing out corruption and injustice, she soon realized that her new life, was hanging on by a thread as her place of employment comes under scrutiny and soon was under new management as tragedy struck in the worst way possible.
To her surprise management turns out to be the man who caught her eye the night she was knocked to her sense at the speed dating event. She didn’t think she would see him again, let alone work for him. She also didn’t think he would remember her, but to her surprise he did, but he is emotionally unavailable and she didn’t want to be wrapped up in that kind of situation again. Will the past repeat itself or come back to haunt her?
Slowly things started to change for Hailey, both in a good way and in a weird, twisted and scary way. The past that she thought was buried with her ex, started knocking at her door and threatened to ruined her new found life.
For years Hailey was content and comfortable with her life being what it was, mundane and that was how she liked it. From her childhood she and her brother had a hard life, and that spilled into both their adult life until she reached breaking point and her brother found himself in jail. Until now, that life was no longer a threat to her, or so she thought.
She feels lost in the twilight zone, caught between the past and the future. Caught between love and loyalty.
Her love and life from the past, came creeping up on her like the thief in the night. At first, she couldn’t understand why, until she quickly remembers him and his past and all the secrets she had forgotten and had hid away with the all the bad memories and lies he brought into her life causing her pain and suffering she wouldn’t wish on anyone. But somehow, she knew this day would come, but she had thought it would be sooner and when it didn’t come, she packed it away with everything else and started over. It seemed to be succeeding until the day it changed. Tanner’s eyes caught hers and it took hold of her body and mind in way she didn’t think it would happen for her again. But the past was there, lurking in the background ready to pounce at any time, and kill the beautiful dream life she was living.
Will the past get the better of her, or will the prospect of love, security in her future loosen the chains of the past on her?
