If not for his leader's determination to save him, Garrick would have died at the truffle farm. He almost wishes he had. Not only does Garrick have to watch his leader find love in the arms of another, his past forces him to remain alone despite wanting a mate more than anything.

Resigned to his lonely fate, Garrick dedicates himself to protecting his fellow werekin. When their expanding pack needs a place to settle down, he scours the countryside and finds an abandoned town.
