Yardsticks

Before the days of social media, downloaded apps,
and live streaming, there existed a world with no
electricity and no indoor plumbing. Baby chicks were
delivered by mail, and children were expected to milk
cows and feed pigs every morning.
This seems like a long time ago and a long way away,
but it was the beginning of my life—a life filled with
changes and challenges, adventure and brotherhood.
My life took me from the simple times of Nebraska to a
larger world. But the lessons I learned there were
never forgotten and made me into the man I am today.
