Honors Chemistry: Solutions
A Companion Book for High School Chemistry
Descripción editorial
This is a short book useful in the study of Solutions. A solution is a homogeneous mixture made up of a solute and solvent.
In the first chapter, the process of dissolving will be discussed, as well as the properties of solutions and the factors affecting rate of dissolving.
In the second chapter, solubility curves will be considered. How to determine the solubility of a substance in water will be discussed.
In the third chapter, the concepts of unsaturated, saturated, and supersaturated will be looked out. By using a solubility curve, you can determine if a solution is unsaturated, saturated, or supersaturated based on the composition of the solution. In the fourth chapter, percent by mass, percent by volume, and parts per million will be discussed. There are many examples and problems throughout the book, as well as videos containing examples and direct instruction. In addition, interactive quizzes are provided at the end of each chapter.
