About the authors:

Jeff Grissler was born in New York City before moving to the Jersey Shore. He was a New York City fireman for 15+ years and served during 911. Jeff now resides in Wilmington, NC with his wife, Coleen, and their three children—Kaytlyn, JT, and Julianna Rose.

Jeff offers consulting services to current salon/barbershop owners and to those who have ownership of a salon, barbering, nail, or spa business in their near-term or future career plans.

Eric Ryant is a beauty industry entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in space planning and design for salons and barbershops. No stranger to the hair and beauty industry, Eric spent many years developing new designs and space plans, getting involved in every facet of the industry.

Since the 1980s, Eric has imported salon and barbering furniture from many countries, such as Italy, Germany, Holland, and China, bringing in the latest trends and styles for the U.S. market. Prior to writing this book, Eric owned several successful businesses, all involved in the hair and beauty industry, from a small chain of beauty stores to a cabinet manufacturing facility.

He has also collaborated with companies such as Sally Beauty Supply, L’Oreal and The Nailco Group.

Eric’s vision is to help business owners to create their dreams with a cost-effective business model and ensure that they stay within budget for the long haul. As part of his successful career, he now teaches and consults with other organizations on how to achieve the same success.
