There are dark things that exist at the very peripheries of reality. Sometimes these manage to break into our world. Most people, however, are fortunate enough to never come into contact with these. In 1873, Kevin Hollingsbeck's fortune ran out, and he and his companions came face to face with a being whose very essence was corruption, the Great Dissolution.
