Expecting their first child, Zak and Aimee flee Earth, fearing their baby's genetic anomalies will be discovered. They return to the safety of the Guardianship Horus, where this unique toddler will be welcomed unconditionally. But they learn that the Horus is not the refuge they were looking for.
