Fate draws our collective heroes together when the High Council of Lyandrica hosts a contest with a mound of highly coveted eldrymettalum as a prize—a treasure sure to draw the eyes of even the drider's forces in the Obsidian Grotto. But when a dragon attack derails the warriors, they meet their true enemy: Morvaine the Slave Taker… and she is one of Melkior's kind, a Dragonlord.

While dragons ravage Lyandrica, the collected heroes earn the title of Gods'own from a Sage who reveals there is more to this encounter than mere chance. The will of gods and goddesses are at play, and only one side can prevail in this encounter—either life and the forces of Nature, or wicked god whose name must not be uttered… the one known simply as Death.

Can the newly formed Gods'own Champions defeat Death's herald and rescue the gnomes? Can they defeat the corps of slavers without razing Lyandrica in the process?
