Dread Vine

Ivan strolls across a cracked, moss-covered street. Snow-covers the confines of the city-wide containment dome in a white packed heap that blocks out the sun that so desperately beckons. The air chills with each breath and despite the reassurances of his betters, he finds himself on edge. Today will be a day to remember, harrowed in the annals of human history as the day he takes an inch away from the Dread Vine, a green monster sprung from the innards of the Earth, self-replicating doom of mankind.
