Pasture “weeds” of coastal NSW

Ferns, sedges, rushes, legumes, daisies and orchids. Often these plants are referred to as pasture weeds even though they are not all weeds in the conventional sense.


Some are invasive, but many are desirable as they provide out-of-season green feed with different nutritional benefits, helping to reduce or overcome some of the nutritional problems of coastal pastures.


The purpose of the book ‘Pasture “weeds” of coastal NSW’ is to provide an easy reference guide to some 188 common non-woody species so they can be recognised and managed appropriately. Hundreds of photographs provide easy recognition.
