After the death of his wife, Buck is trying to balance grieving his loss while raising his twin toddlers and helping to run the family ranch. He's not happy when his sister suggests a nanny, but he knows he needs the help.

Kate Holden is fresh off of a broken engagement. After finding her former best friend in bed with her now ex-fiancé on the night of their rehearsal dinner, Kate's looking for a new direction in life. So, when she gets a call asking if she'd be interested in interviewing as a nanny, she's hesitant but decides to give it a try.

When Kate and Buck meet, things don't exactly go as planned. Kate's trying to do a good job with the boys, but Buck is set on things being done his way. Even as the two butt heads, sparks start to fly between them. Will they each give themselves permission to love again, or will Kate have to move on from Broken Rock Ranch?
