The Breath of the Zephyr

England between 1936 and 1956: Evacuee Eleanor White, who is fascinated by all things Venetian, lives at her enigmatic uncle Arthur's country cottage where at night, she hears an unearthly voice in the wind calling her name. She is also disturbed by a sinister wall mask, which is the image of a Venetian woman recently hanged for murder. One day, Arthur who is a woodcarver and antiques dealer, reveals an eighteenth century canvas, its origin being shrouded in mystery surrounding a series of unsolved murders. When similar killings start occuring locally, a strange journey to Venice leads them into a world of deceit, death and a supernatural connection with events in both centuries. Unless they can unlock the terrible secret that links them, a cataclysm will take place, which will affect the destinies of people many miles – and many years away.
