Descripción editorial
In August 1974 a New York Giants team physician and two bookies were indicted by a Federal Court in New York. The doctor, Anthony Pisani, had been the Giants' team physician for a decade. One of the two bookies involved, Thomas Musto, was a member of the Genovese Mafia family. The bookies were consulting Pisani about the precise nature of injuries to New York's star running back, Ron Johnson. The meetings between bookies and Pisani comprised the last four games of the 1973 NFL season.
