In the dead of night we arrived at the white Citadel. The moon was out and the fabled desert town looked very appealing. We should, of course, have waited patiently outside the city walls until morning came and the gates would open. But Fierter wanted in. Looking up I could see the full moon. It felt as if I was crawling up the ladder and straight into it.
