With the Lights On

A stick in the mud. A wild card. When one holds a torch for another, hearts are broken, lives are ruined...and everything makes sense.

This is never going to happen. Like, never. Led Lawson, CFO of Lawson Enterprises, better known as the boy that didn’t have the balls to come after me in high school, only he’s all grown up now. And the second that I walk into the office as the HR Manager, he acts all indifferent. Tables get turned when I act the same, especially after he takes someone back to his place in the middle of the most important event of the year, and not just professionally speaking, either. I could care less what Led does, and he seems to feel the same, until we find ourselves on common ground, pulling for the same purpose. That’s when I remember. How sexy he is, how kind he is, but most of all, how secretive he is.
