Descripción editorial
One afternoon, the peace was shattered by the leather snap of a whip biting into human flesh. Blood trickled down a man’s back in rivulets and fell in large drops into the sand. Another whip flashed, as soldiers administered punishment to their prisoners. At that same time, a stagecoach en route from San Pedro carried a handful of passengers — including the Irish Colonel. When the coach arrived at Reina de los Angeles, would the Colonel prove a savior or despot to the citizens? Was he friend or foe to the man called Zorro?
In the pueblo of Los Angeles California, nearly 200 years ago, a dread malady had crept in — the disease of oppression. Then — out of the mystery of the unknown — appeared a masked rider who patrolled the great el Camino Real highway. He alone inspired the people to rise up and resist tyranny. That man was Zorro!
